C.1870s. Shoshone women's boot moccasins. Tanned buckskin, soft soles, sinew-sewn, glass seed beads. These are typical one-piece moccasins of the Shoshone-Bannock of Fort Hall that feature built-in leggings. Provenance suggests it was carried in dances. Collected in 1876 by Indian Agent William H.
