C.1898 Shoshone Moccasins. Sinew-sewn beadwork with separate
sole construction. These women's moccasins imitate shoes, as well as
using an early, abstract floral design.
Ankle is trimmed in plaid cloth. Collected by Emile Granier on the Wind
River Indian Reservation and accessioned in 1898.
