C.1870-1890. Shoshone carved buffalo horn cup. The design is an etched otter. The tag indicates the cup belonged to " Chief Taigee." Tigee was a son-in-law of Chief Washakie of the Wind river Reservation. Collected by Emile Granier; accessioned in 1898. Cat. No. E200525. Courtesy NMNH. |
