C.1890-1905. Lemhi Shoshone girl's or woman's moccasins with beaded
leggings. Made by Drusilla Gould's great-great grandmother. Green, white, blue, and cobalt seed beeds. The
combination of abstract floral and geometric designs shows Plateau influence,
but the combination of colors reflects traditional Shoshone beading. Soft
soles and heavily ochered or smoked hide. Click

Shoshone Agency, Salmon, Idaho. On display at the Lemhi County Historical
Museum, Salmon, ID. |
