C. 1960s.  Shoshone beaded male doll.  Cotton thread, yarn, buckskin, cloth, spangles, felt.  This doll represents a drummer who might be playing for traditional "hand games" or private sings.  Johnny Dick, a Western Shoshone from Nevada, but who lived on both Fort Hall and Wind River Reservations, made this doll.  Collected on the Wind River Reservation.  Courtesy private collection.
