C. 1890. Shoshone toy teepee. Painted rawhide, cotton thread,
wilow sticks, feathers. A note in the box suggests that this teepee and
the other items were gifts of Chief Washakie to various Indian agents.
This is possible, given the age of the teepee. Although much smaller
than the example for the NMAI, the blue line along the bottom edge is similar. Size is
