C.1890-1900. Attributed to Cadzi Coty (Cotsiogo), who is known to have painted at least a dozen elk hides for commercial sale. It is quite possible that some art that has been attributed to George Washakie may actually have been created by Cadzi Coty--the similarity in colors & artistic style is extremely close. Note the eagle above the buffalo head in the Sun Dance scene and compare to the similar image attributed to G. Washakie in Cat. No. 23.3050.
