C.1900-1920.  Painting on elk hide, attributed to Charles Washakie, son of Chief Washakie.   The action represents war episodes Chief Washakie, the father of Charles.  There seem to be 11 separate scenes.   The hide is signed in the lower right corner.  Click here or on the image for detailed image.  Cat.
