Excerpts from Interivews with Shoshone Elders & Artists

The links here open excerpted interviews with Shoshone elders and artists about their art, their lives, and the creative process.  The interviewees were shown the images of the Shoshone items from the various museums and asked to comment on them.  The interviewees have given formal consent to have their words published on this website and care has been taken to edit out comments about sacred ceremonies or items.  References to some individuals are also edited from the comments.  The interview files are saved in PDF format, which require Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to open them.
