C.1890. Lemhi Shoshone eagle feather headdress with beaded band. The
beaded band uses a traditional mountain design bordered with green rectangles
set against a cobalt field. This headdress is somewhat atypical in that it
has the swept-back style more commonly found on the plains and found
infrequently among Shoshones. Click

beadwork. On display at the Lemhi County Historical
Museum, Salmon, ID. Courtesy Lemhi County Historical Museum. |
