C. 1870.  This long flat case has what appears to be the outlines of 2 main design fields.  The black hole is the bullet hole that brought down the animal who contributed its life to the parfleche.  The case has sinew-sewn seams and traces of old red mineral paint.  Size is approximately 12 inches long and 5 inches tall.  Cat.
