Field Trip

Visit the Dubois Museum and view a replica of a Mountain Bighorn Sheep trap, steatite bowls, and various other artifacts left by the Sheep Eater Indians.

Then, take a hike onto Shoshone National Forest land once inhabited by the Sheep Eaters to visit the remnants of a Bighorn Sheep trap.

You should allow 4 hours for your visit, bring your lunch and water, wear sturdy shoes, and be able to hike uphill for approximately .7 of a mile.

The museum is located at 909 West Ramshorn in Dubois, Wyoming. Our phone number is: (307)455-2284.
