Make a Poster
Make a poster illustrating the life of the Sheep Eater Indians.
The poster must be at least 26 X 34 inches. The poster should
contain at least l paragraph of information about the Sheep Eater
Indians.
Make a Mobile
Make a mobile including at least six objects or activities that
illustrate the life of the Sheep Eater Indians. The objects may
either be drawings or three-dimensional. Each object should be
indentified by name and/or activity illustrated.
Make a Storybook
Write and illustrate a storybook about the Sheep Eater Indians.
The book should be at least 150 words long. The story line may
be fictional, but the information about the Sheep Eaters must
be accurate.
Make a Coloring Book
Illustrate a Sheep Eater Indian coloring book. The book should
include at least eight illustrations depicting the life of the
Sheep Eater Indians. The illustrations should include a caption
identifying the activity.
Make a Stuffed Toy
Make a stuffed toy related to activities of the Sheep Eater Indians.
The pattern may be created by the student or bought from a cloth
or craft store. Parents may help, but the student should do the
actual sewing. You must include one written paragraph about how
the toy illustrates the life of the Sheep Eater Indians.
Make a Clay or Wooden Model
Make a clay or wooden model depicting the life of the Sheep Eater
Indians. The model should be at least 10 inches in length or height.
You must include one written paragraph about how the model illustrates
the life of the Sheep Eater Indians.
Make a Shadow Box
Make models using clay, wood, paper or other material then put
them in a shadow box to illustrate the living environment of the
Sheep Eater Indians. You must include at least one written paragraph
about how the model illustrates the life of the Sheep Eater Indians.
Make a Paper Mache
Make a paper mache model to illustrate something in the lives
of the Sheep Eater Indians. The size of the model will be determined
by the number of students involved. The larger the group the larger
the model should be. The student(s) should include a written paragraph
describing the model and its function in the life of the Sheep
Eater Indians.
Make a Puppet or Puppets
Make puppet(s) and present a puppet show about the Sheep Eater
Indians. The puppet(s) may be hand puppet(s) or marionettes. The
story line should show correct habitat and life-style, but may
be fantasy.
Make Flash cards
Design a set of flash cards about the Sheep Eater Indians. The
cards should have an illustration on one side and information
about the Sheep Eaters on the other side. You should make at least
ten 4X6 cards, each with a different illustration and text.
Make Bookmarks
Make a set of 12 bookmarks illustrating the life of the Sheep
Eater Indians. These may be later donated to the school librarian.
Note: Any of these projects may be completed by one or more students
and may be used as a major class project to include reports shared
with class members.
