17. Coup Stick
 Balcom:
“ One coup stick ornamented with eagle feathers, bead work,
and dew-claws.” This wooden decorated spear or coup stick has
two eagle feathers, tassels with bone and beads, copper rivets,
and a bone spear at the end. The bone spear point is 8 inches long
and 1 1/8 inches wide at its base. The whole coup stick is 41 inches
in length. WHC2000.17.18.
