22. Painted drum
Painted drumBalcom: “A dance drum.” The painted hide is attached to the wooden framing with tacks. Inside of the drum the words, “Brown and Black—Indian Traders Inc.” are written in pencil. The drum painting is quite faded and the drum surface is torn. The diameter of the drum is 16 inches and the drum is 4 inches in width. WHC2000.17.10.
