Chief Washakie Historical Photographs 6

Marked copyright Sproul and P104, date unknown. Washakie wears what looks like an otter or beaver pelt on his shoulder, as well as headdress and neckerchief.  He also has on a beaded vest.  This image has been used as a model for other non-photographic images.

This photograph is late in Washakie's life, certainly after 1895.  Unknown photographer.

One of the last photographs taken of Washakie, this picture dates to 1896-1898 and most likely was taken by James K.  Moore, Sr., the Indian & military trader on the reservation
